Ello! So we’re starting our Euro trip in a few days and wanted to share some of our itinerary. Since we only have 24 hours in London and we had to pack it in (not to mention all the clothes TIGHTLY packed), we thought our guide will be extremely helpful to share what to see, eat (important) and do, within a short period. So..mark your calendars for this Wednesday, and ‘virtually’ explore with us because these betches be trippin’!
9am: Arrive
10am: Take Uber to Flat near Victoria Park. Total cost will be £45, but is worth it.
11am: Arrive at Flat (blablabla..let’s get to the fun part).
11- 11:30am: Freshen Up From Flight. Dress for running around. Outfit One: Reformation Inga Black Crop Top with Super easy lightweight pants from COPE.
11:30am – 1pm: Lunch.. TBD but probably something quick.
1pm – 4pm: Touristy things. I suggest starting at Buckingham Palace, walk to Big Ben, then go on a tour of Westminister Abbey. Next hop a boat ferry at Westminister Pier and take to Tower Bridge of London (grab a glass of fizz/champers to add to the effect), which is in East Side of town. Back to the flat. You can do all that in 3 hours, trust me.
4:30pm – 5:30pm: Freshen up for the night. Outfit Two: Slightly fancier for upscale dinner and other activities. TBD, but most likely a body suit and harem pants or Reformation Cali Dress in Navy.
6pm – 7:30pm: Blind Pig (Cocktails Upstairs) at Social Eating House.
Upstairs is award-winning bar The Blind Pig. An electric interior with a vintage twist of antique mirrored ceilings, reclaimed wooden chairs and a copper-topped bar. Everything is made with technical precision and comes beautifully balanced, Cocktails include Dill Or No Dill, Silver Screen, Last Tango In Paris and the Kindergarten Cup. (from the site)
9pm- 10:30pm: Social Eating House (Dinner Downstairs)
Chef Patron Paul Hood moves across from sister restaurant, Jason’s flagship Pollen Street Social, to head up the kitchen here. Paul continues to develop dishes closely with Jason, creating his own diverse and contemporary bistro menu that highlights his personal style of cooking as honed over their last six years of working together.
The simple yet carefully created dishes are complimented by a relaxed and attentive service in the comfortable, humble setting. Inspired by the buzz surrounding the resurgence of Soho, Jason’s vision has been to create a restaurant where diners can enjoy the key elements of the current London dining scene in an informal and social setting, and where the surroundings are as vibrant as the food. (from the site).
Must Try– Jars To Share | Smoked beef tartare and egg yolk | Smoked hummus, spiced aubergine, tomato | BBQ heritage tomato, burrata, balsamic | Mac & cheese, shaved mushroom
10:30 – 11:30pm: Soho House and/or LouLou’s
You know the drill. Both spots are members only! As an fyi, LouLou’s is an elite club for Londoners (and us) who want to be in a see-and-be-seen social environment with multiple rooms to offer different experiences with various bar areas, a sushi bar, library (eh?), and private dining rooms.
11:30pm – 3:30am: The Box
What a unique experience! If you haven’t had a chance to check out The Box in Manhattan, I’m sure the London outpost is even crazier. With burlesque-style shows with a risqué twist and a full-on dance party, this place is definitely a one-of-a kind experience.
4am – 5am: Late night bite at Duck & Waffle
Offering a late night menu served atop a 40-storey skyscraper with dishes like.. Duck & Waffle (obvi!) prepared with crispy leg confit, fried duck egg and mustard maple syrup or an Ox Cheek Grilled Cheese with onion, jam, fried organic hen’s egg and sriracha, I’ll most likely be craving this place all night!
5:30am – 10am: Sleep (LOL!)
11am: Call Uber to go to London City Airport Bye!
