The countdown has begun, and I’m talking about until I get to go home for the holidays and lay in the sun. Also, the countdown to New Year’s of course! I absolutely love the holidays in the city– it’s so festive with ice skating in Rockefeller Center, Christmas decor and lights. I can go on.. but at the moment, I’m happy to throw on a Santa hat and head to destinations near the sand. On that note, here are some places I will be checking out when I’m home!
Lunch at a beach house is always top of the list, which is why the feast at Cecconi’s at Soho House Beach House is a must! The ambiance and food is on par with the Miami lifestyle. If you’re in the area on Christmas Day, the restaurant will be open from 12p- 5p for a $45/person lunch (no more Chinese food and the movies for me!) If you’re unfamiliar with feasts at Soho Houses, they are amazing, plentiful and delicious! On New Year’s Day the restaurant will be hosting a similar lunch, which will be open to the public at the normally exclusive restaurant for the same price and same hours of operation, but with bellinis and half off valet! Cheers to that! To make a reservation, please contact Cecconi’s directly at 786-507-7902
I’m having a fashion-meets-food moment with the opening of Hugo & Victor pastry shop at the high-end fashionable store The Webster in South Beach. This will be the first US location for the Parisian pastry and chocolate shop at The Webster , which was founded by Michelin-Star rated Hugues Pouget and Sylvain Blanc who launched the first location in 2011 in Paris. Having designed each pastry themselves, the menu will change with the seasons, offering five separate menus but keeping four timeless flavors, which will consist of key lime, chocolate, grapefruit and caramel. Currently through December, the season’s highlighted flavors includes passion fruit and pistachio. YUM! Now that’s sweet!
Perfect time to stop by for a last minute gift, the Hugo & Victor’s Webster Notebook is available for $32 with the special edition collection. Instead of the traditional ganache chocolates, H&V designed the Webster Notebook around its chocolate spheres. The spheres are coated in milk or dark chocolate and are filled with a semi-liquid caramel, infused with citrus flavors. There are 12 chocolates in each notebook and each contains five different flavors: lemon, kaffir lime, key lime, grapefruit and tangerine.

Last but ABSOLUTELY not least, is the opening of the extremely luxurious, upscale, chic.. (insert more adjectives) Italian restaurant/lounge by Fashion designer Roberto Cavalli. An a la carte menu is available with a 7pm seating or the choice of a $200 per person3-course menu, which is also available at 10p for $300 per person.
The party will be held in the lounge, and will start at 11PM and will last all night long. As guests countdown the last few seconds of 2013, they will have the rare opportunity of toasting in the new year with Roberto Cavalli himself. Tables are sold separately with different packages and can be purchased by contacting Patrick at email@example.com. Tuesday, December 31— party ends here!
