As a blogger (and New Yorker) I constantly have a case of FOMO or “Fear of Missing Out”. Yes, it’s a real phrase..and problem.. because there’s not a day that passes that I don’t have a burning desire to see or experience something new. Instead of going to rehab for FOMO, and to help calm my nerves, I recently tried Kusmi Tea, a world renowned tea company founded in 1867. With their second New York store located in the Plaza Hotel’s Food Hall, I knew it was time to acquire a collection of blends with anti-oxidants and anti-aging properties, which is helpful due to the late nights. Since the company has over 65 unique high quality blends from classic flavors, and exclusive Russian blends, to a full line of wellness teas, (and because I’m indecisive) #LibraGirlProblems, I left it to the experts to decide which tea would be the best fit for me and my taste buds. My recommended flavors were ‘Be Cool, Euphoria and Sweet Love.
Starting with Sweet Love, which it was oh-so-sweet, and delivered in a perfect pink box to match, the aromatic blend of black tea spices, guarana seed and pink pepper, had a natural sweetness which didn’t require additional sugar. Also, since I was the one consuming the tea, (and I’m sweet)…maybe that helped to some extent?
Today, I moved into Euphoria, which it was, but to be more specific, the flavor combination of roasted maté, chocolate, and orange is said to release endorphins and lift spirits. It’s said to be enjoyed in the afternoon as a pick-me-up, which is EXACTLY what it did, and up, up, up.. and away, and I’m ready to go.
Now that I’m ready for my next move to meet friends at a local rooftop (Refinery Hotel–check it out!), I will most likely save the last bag of ‘Be Cool’ to calm down my nerves before sleep. Per the tea bag’s request, I will ‘Be Cool’ at all times and will remain even cooler before I hit the sack. Yessir.
