Although there’s never a shortage of things to do in the city, you can’t deny that drinking and dining out are two favorites. Luckily, the wine fairies have listened to our prayers and are blessing us with a bunch of wine events in the upcoming weeks. With a variety of ways to ‘wine down’ with tastings, classes and events, we’ve got your entertainment ready-to-go.
Weekly Wine Series at Back Room at Park Hyatt:
Starting with a weekly Vintage Champagne Series on Wednesdays at The Back Room Bar (also known as The Living Room) helped by Park Hyatt New York’s Wine Director, Tristan Prat Vincent, who previously worked at the Michelin-starred Veritas where he honed his knowledge of rare and vintage wines which inspired The Back Room Bar’s emphasis on rare bottles and sustainable, biodynamic offerings. In the ongoing series, Tristan uncorks Moët & Chandon Dom Pérignon Oenothèque Brut 1996 and serves the wine by the glass for one night only, accompanying each class with an Ossetra Caviar taste created by Executive Chef Sebastien Archambault. Available until supplies last, this is a classy way to enjoy an unusual bottle of DP and learn a bit at the same time.
